It's clear this is YA series but it is a great story. Once I began, I did not want to put them down. I was reading every chance I could find.

If you want a good story that is not full of sex and gore, but still full of adventure and romantic entanglements, unrequited love and thrilling heroics, and simply, a good fun read, this series is it.

Personally I also love all the obvious and sneaky allusions to fairy stories and I love how they've been pulled out of their fantasy settings and molded into this scifi series set in earth's future and the relatable history that bought them to this future.

I own the digital books but bought the physical books because my shelves needed to display them.

This book is a definite must read for all lovers of YA fantasy, dystopian and sci-fi. It is sci-fi novel loosely based on Cinderella and i would highly recommend it to anyone. I was a bit reluctant to start at first because of my irrational fear/dislike of weird robots and space, but i'm so glad i read it because i loved it so much and have already started the second book, Scarlet. The characters are so much fun and the dialogue will make you laugh at times. I thought the plot line was really interesting and definitely some twists i was not expecting. The dual POVs were fantastically written and as you read along to see how everything unfolds, it builds up the excitement and tension! AH Overall it was great and if you are a person looking for an exciting sci-fi book this is DEFINITELY the story for you :) Have fun bookworms :)

This was just one of those books you couldn't put down! Cinder is set after the fourth world war and the technological advancements are astounding. Cinder was a hauntingly beautiful retelling of one of the classic fairy tales, Cinderella. Marissa Meyer incorporated the original plot line into this novel very well and the ending leaves the readers yearning to get their hands on the second instalment of the series.
