Sector ministries are those where the clergy primarily work as chaplains in some sector of society rather than a church. In this work, Giles Legood combines contributions from a variety of different ministries, from hospitals and the armed forces to airports and shopping centres, with pertinent analysis of the theological, sociological and professional issues of sector ministry - such as those raised by work in a multi-faith and secular society. He also shows how ordained ministers work alongside other Christians in the same sector, and challenges the churches into making sector ministries a financial and resourcing priority.
