Vince Copley

About Vince Copley Vince Copley, a proud Ngadjuri man, was born on an Aboriginal mission in South Australia. As a young boy he attended the now famous St Francis House, a home for First Nations boys that produced many future leaders, including civil rights activist Charlie Perkins.

A star footballer and cricketer, Vince later devoted his life to advancing the rights and improving the lives of First Nations people. He worked closely with Charlie, and with everyone from community leaders to premiers and prime ministers. He has also been active in reclaiming Ngadjuri culture and sharing it with others.

Vince's autobiography, The Wonder of Little Things, written with Lea McInerney, was published in 2022.,

In 2016 she met Ngadjuri Elder Vince Copley. Together, they worked on Vince's autobiography, The Wonder of Little Things, and several Ngadjuri projects led by Vince. .
