Jack Henseleit was born on a winter evening in 1991, just after the stroke of midnight.

When the weather is dark and stormy, he writes fairy tales real fairy tales, where witches and goblins play tricks on unwary girls and boys.

Not all of the tales have happy endings. The Witching Hours is his first series of middle-grade horror novels.

Chris Kennett has been drawing ever since he could hold a pencil (or so his mum says). But professionally, Chris has been creating quirky characters for just over 20 years. He's best known for drawing weird and wonderful creatures from the Star Wars universe, but he also loves drawing cute and cuddly monsters – and he hopes you do too!
