When it comes to relationships, Colin Singleton's type is girls named Katherine.

And when it comes to girls named Katherine, Colin is always getting dumped. Nineteen times, to be exact. On a road trip miles from home, this anagram-happy, washed-up child prodigy has ten thousand dollars in his pocket, a bloodthirsty feral hog on his trail, and an overweight Judge Judy - loving best friend riding shotgun - but no Katherines.

Colin is on a mission to prove The Theorem of Underlying Katherine Predictability, which he hopes will predict the future of any relationship, avenge Dumpees everywhere, and finally win him the girl. Love, friendship, and a dead Austro-Hungarian archduke add up to surprising and heart-changing conclusions in this ingeniously layered comic novel about reinventing oneself.

I really, really, really liked this one. It’s almost my favourite John Green! I just found it so endearing, it was really sweetly written. The storyline was fantastic. I became absolutely absorbed and found myself just wanting to go back to reading it whenever I had a spare second. Also, with most books I read, I’ll count pages to see how much longer until the end of a chapter because I have an attention span worse than a toddler. But while reading AAoK, I didn’t once count pages. It’s something you can just keep on reading for hours without it getting boring or repetitive. It loses a star because I’m DYING to know what happened after the ending, but would definitely recommend it.

Finally a John Green book that made me smile and not feel too much of the feels !!!! I enjoyed seeing Colin grow trough the book. I love the bromance between Colin and Hassan. Especially enjoy the foot note and the math stuff as that's what I kinda am studying in uni. Other than that it's a great quick and quirky read and more on the "Lighter side"
