AQUATOX: Modeling Environmental Risk and Damage Assessment in Aquatic Ecosystems is a new volume in the series: Developments in Environmental Modelling. This volume provide one single source for all AQUATOX applications with basic equations, applications and examples of how the model has been implemented in various aquatic habitats (riverine, lacustrine and estuarine). This will address the needs of the model practitioner and the book will provide a comprehensive reference source for AQUATOX model applications. It also can be used as the basis of an ecological modelling course at the graduate level and used to teach various levels of modelling concepts.
Throughout the text, chapter headings are organized so users can understand the model building process, the included state variables and components, and this is then followed up using case studies as examples for additional applications for a similar problem. The actual study files will be available to accompany the case studies, so readers can assemble and calibrate their own AQUATOX applications.
