Marilyn Singer is a multi-award-winning children's author who has written more than 100 books, spanning poetry, picture books, fiction and non-fiction.

Her awards include the 2015 NCTE Award for Excellence in poetry, the Cybil Award for Poetry 2011, and several Children's Choice and Parents' Choice Awards, among others. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Leah Nixon

Leah Nixon graduated with an BFA in Painting from Washington University in St. Louis and is co-owner of the stationery company Tiny & Snail. She was involved in a severe construction accident while working with Habitat for Humanity that left her paralysed from the armpits down. One of the first questions she asked when she awoke in the ICU was, "Can I still draw?" Painting, art, and her dog, Lucy, have played a major part in her recovery. Leah advocates online for art and accessibility, and lives in Rapid City, South Dakota.
