This work explores the effectiveness of British organizations and groups in the environmental field in responding to the challenge of European integration. Examining the relative European orientation of British environmental policy, and the impact of British concerns on European environmental policy, the book examines issues of environmental diplomacy, institutional dynamics, and policy debates relating to specific concerns such as pollution, land use, transport and natural conservation.
