Fantastic Book. As a neurologist, I have spent the past three years studying and understanding many mindfulness and acceptance techniques that have their foundation in Buddhism and have been clinically proven to have pervasive health benefits. Principles of Secular Buddhism can be applied by anyone, regardless of religious belief.

This book is an excellent introduction to Buddhism that focuses on the history, theory, and practical applications of the religion. It avoids diving deep into what could be considered myths or legends, and instead explains what Buddhism is and how its core beliefs and practices are helpful in life. Highly recommended for anyone interested in Buddhism, particularly those who lean towards agnostic beliefs, and who are more focused on the practical side of religions vs. the supernatural side.
