Tony Chu is a detective with a slight quirk. He's a cibopath - when he eats things he gets psychic visions of their lives. Which is handy as a murder detective, as long as he doesn't mind having a little munch on a dead person. This comic is fun, and not as grisly and horrific as it sounds. The authors slowly introduce you to more of the weird things in their world as the series goes on. Well worth a look.
