Anthony Saunders is the author of three books on military history. He has a PhD at Exeter University, studying the invention of British trench warfare munitions and their effect on tactics on the Western Front. A graduate of Brunel University and a former Patent Officer in the Principal Directorate of Patents, MoD, he has worked as a freelance writer and editor for the last twenty-five years. In 2007, he was shortlisted in the Daily Telegraph Novel in a Year Competition.
