Maggie Clarke
Dr Maggie Clarke is a senior lecturer at the University of Western Sydney (UWS), Australia. Her teaching is grounded in research, and recognition of her scholarly activities is evident at international, national and local level through her publications, professional relationships and long-term executive role on the Australian Teacher Education Association.
She has been widely recognised for her excellence in teaching as a recipient of a number of Teaching Awards including the UWS Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2012, an Australian Learning and Teaching Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning in 2010 and a UWS College of Arts Award for her outstanding contribution to student learning in 2009.
Dr Clarke has wide experience in a broad range of programs including Primary and Secondary at both undergraduate and post graduate levels. She has played a key role in curriculum development including Masters of Teaching and Masters of Education courses and units. Maggie has also played a key role in the introduction and development of standards and criterion based assessment at UWS in the School of Education.
