The Czechoslovak Republic was Nazi Germany's first victim nation after the Austrian Anschluss. Abandoned by the Western governments at the Munich conference in 1938, it was quickly occupied and broken up after the annexation of Sudetenland. However, its escaping soldiers and airmen continued fighting with the French in 1940, the British in 1940-45 and the Red Army in 1941-45. This book explains the complex history of these forces, as well as those of the Czechoslovak Resistance, and the Bohemia-Moravia Protectorate Government Army maintained by the German occupiers. It is illustrated with rare wartime photos, and new colour plates of a wide range of uniforms, insignia and personal equipment.
