With extraordinary access to the Trump White House, Michael Wolff tells the inside story of the most controversial presidency of our time.

The first nine months of Donald Trump's term were stormy, outrageous - and absolutely mesmerising. Now, thanks to his deep access to the West Wing, bestselling author Michael Wolff tells the riveting story of how Trump launched a tenure as volatile and fiery as the man himself.

In this explosive book, Wolff provides a wealth of new details about the chaos in the Oval Office. Among the revelations:

  • What President Trump's staff really thinks of him
  • What inspired Trump to claim he was wire-tapped by President Obama
  • Why FBI director James Comey was really fired
  • Why chief strategist Steve Bannon and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner couldn't be in the same room
  • Who is really directing the Trump administration's strategy in the wake of Bannon's firing - What the secret to communicating with Trump is
  • What the Trump administration has in common with the movie The Producers

Never before has a presidency so divided the American people. Brilliantly reported and astoundingly fresh, Michael Wolff's Fire and Fury shows us how and why Donald Trump has become the king of discord and disunion.

A very disturbing and depressing account of Donald Trump and his sidekicks and how they are destroying America.

I recently completed reading ‘Fire and Fury’ by Michael Wolffe, published a few weeks earlier., The book.deals with the first nine months of the Trump presidency and provides an apparent ‘insider’s detail of the chaos that has reigned in the White House since January 2017.
I obviously cannot form a judgement on the accuracy or otherwise of what Wolffe writes, and wouldn’t try to. However, as most of us have possibly already gathered, there is much to be concerned about with one of the world’s most powerful nations being under the control of a man, who at the very least [at the time the book was written] doesn’t appear to know what he is doing, and doesn’t like to be told how to do it!! Even more disturbing from the reading, are the details of the internal White House conflicts between senior staff, advisors, and the Trump family members, especially his daughter and son-in-law who seem to have installed themselves into the White House as more than just ‘family members’.
In another forum, I selected a number of quotations from the book in order to give some flavour of the way in which it has been written. Of course in doing that, there was always the danger of being accused of bias in such a selective process - like different religious sects using various texts from the Bible to justify their specific interpretations. Be that as it may, much of what followed in my selection, had already appeared for public consumption through the media over the previous 12 months, so really shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.
I didn't consider it appropriate to include the rest of my original article on the book [3 or 4 pages of selected quotations], however perhaps this abbreviated review might encourage others to read the entire book themselves [I notice that Hilary Clinton was seen reading it at the Grammy Awards a few weeks ago!!],
In summary, I found the contents quite disturbing and a worrying sign of the world's future!!
