Lily Murray is a freelance writer who has been writing and editing childrens books for over 15 years.

Her titles for Frances Lincoln Childrens Books include Hello, Hot Dog!, Once Upon a Picture and The People Awards. Other recent titles include Dinosaurium for Big Picture Press and World of Cities for Walker Books.

She studied English Literature at university and now lives in a cottage on the edge of some woods with two children, a heroic dog and a strange assortment of other animals. She enjoys walking, reading and trips to London on the slightest excuse.

Holly Surplice

Holly was brought up in beautiful Dumfries & Galloway, where living on a farm nurtured a fascination with and love of animals, which continues to feed her work as an artist and illustrator today.

Since graduating from Edinburgh School of Art in 2003, Holly has worked as an artist and illustrator, and has been published by Walker Books, HarperCollins Children's Books, and Nosy Crow.

Holly lives and works in Edinburgh with her husband, young daughter and her Dalmatian - a great source of inspiration!
