Few weapons developed a more deadly reputation than the iconic German 8.8cm FlaK in the anti-tank role. The British 7th Armoured Division first experienced the full potency of this weapon during Operation Battleaxe in June 1941, where German FlaK gunners inflicted severe losses on its tanks.
