In the spring of 1912, a group of young women assembled for the start of their nursing careers. About the Author Linda was born and educated in North London. After her marriage and birth of two daughters, the family settled in Gloucestershire. A twenty-year career in the residential care of the elderly followed. On retirement, Linda was able to devote more time to writing. Heartsong is her sixth novel. When she is not writing or reading, Linda enjoys a variety of handicrafts which she happily shares with anyone who shows the slightest interest.
