I have been looking forward to this book ever since I DEVOURED Volume 1 back in April! And, even though this volume is longer than its predecessor, I somehow managed to read this one even faster! I love this series so darn much and it makes my heart so SO happy! Oseman has created such a fantastic feel-good series that also deals with some really big issues.

Volume 2 pretty much starts up exactly where Volume 1 finished off. And without giving too much away, throughout this book, Nick and Charlie basically navigate the aftermath of that fateful kiss at the end of Volume 1. But, rest assured, the plot is definitely just as sweet and heart-melting!

+ This volume is slightly more complex than the last one.
It explores different sexualities that people may identify with. Oseman does this in a very gentle and gradual way, echoing Nick’s journey in coming to terms with his sexuality throughout the book.

+ We get to see the very beginnings of Nick and Charlie’s romantic relationship.
Honestly, there are so many scenes in this book that are so sweet they could rot your teeth! I’m so happy that Charlie has finally found someone who accepts and loves him just the way he is! And Charlie is so supportive and patient with Nick. There are so many gorgeous kissing moments and it’s just like, “Yaaaasssss, finally!”

+ Let’s be honest here, the absolute best part about this book is Nellie.
Nick’s dog is basically the star of this series. And there are so many more adorable “borfs,” and one particularly amazing dog selfie, in this volume. I’m not a dog person, but I want that dog.

ALL IN ALL: Another fantastic installment in the Heartstopper series that was just as good, if not better than, Volume 1! Volume 2 is heart-meltingly sweet and tender, and it gave me all the happy feels. I REALLY don’t want to wait until February 2020 for the next volume. Could I just have it now? Pretty please?
