Do you break into a cold sweat at the very thought of being asked to make a speech? Then, when the moment finally comes for you to stand up and face your audience are you so nervous your legs feel weak and your hand tremble? If so, author Laurie Smale understands your plight because he used to experience the same thing. Now, after years of developing effective and successful techniques in public speaking, Laurie uses his unique panic-free two-way conversation style to help change the lives of thousands. And, the truth is, all he's been doing is help people to see things differently and draw on the natural way they already speak successfully in informal conversational settings. How to take the Panic out of Public Speaking

A new way of thinking

Not long back a friend of mine put me on the spot to ‘say a few words’ at my sister’s 50th birthday celebration, and unprepared as I was, I made a real mess of it. Still smarting from this pretty poor effort, Laurie Smale’s book ‘How to take the Panic out of Public Speaking’ was brought to my attention and I bought myself a copy. A great investment because it’s hard to disprove one’s own negatives but this book shows how it can be achieved with real life examples the reader can relate to. Since reading the book I’ve found myself expressing my ideas before members of my local motorbike club a lot easier. What’s more, the next time I’m asked to say a few words on some special occasion, I now have an easy-to-follow blueprint to gather my thoughts and stories and share them in a confident way as the natural person I am without trying to be perfect. Remarkable!
