This Japanese-English bilingual edition introduces more than 400 works selected by a 13-judge panel from the Japan Typography Association. With entries accepted from all over the world, the judges, chosen from association members, together with the previous year's Grand Prix winner, conducted a rigorous evaluation process to select one Grand Prix winner from all the entries, along with a "Best Work Award" in each category. A "Jury Award" will be awarded to works or designers highly rated by the judges from their individual perspectives. This book offers an overview of the latest trends in typography through the 10 categories, including typefaces, logotypes and symbols, VI, graphics, editorial, research and experimentation, and more. In addition, production processes for works in the "Best Work Award" categories are also included.
