Young Lulu has the best Mama and Papa in the world and the best pet ladybug, Lili-Poo. After her Mama tells her a story and her Papa sings a goodnight song, Lulu drifts gently off to sleep in her favourite soft-as-a-butterfly-kiss pajamas. In the morning she decides "never ever" to take them off again! What will she do when her friends laugh and her beloved pajamas show the scars of a busy day at school? Suddenly Lulu can hardly recognise her pajamas, and they sure don't smell like a pink dream anymore. Lulu's spirited, independent handling of a childhood rite of passage - choosing one's own clothes - will resonate with both children and parents. Irresistible illustrations and Lulu's note-perfect child's voice will make Lulu's Pajamas a bedtime favourite sure to become as well-worn as an old pair of pajamas. Ages 2-6 AUTHOR: Stephane Jorisch is an illustrator whose imaginative work has won many awards, including the prestigious Governor General's Award for Children's Illustration. His works are produced in watercolour, gouache and also pen and ink, following in the footsteps of his father who illustrated comic strips for newspapers in Europe. Stephane's first book, Oma's Quilt, won the Ruth Schwartz Children's Book Award and was shortlisted for the Blue Spruce Award. His second project, Suki's Kimono, was named an Amelia Frances Howard-Gibbon Award Honour Book. Stephane has illustrated two titles in the KCP Visions in Poetry series, including Jabberwocky, and his latest, The Owl and The Pussycat. They both won the Governor General's Awards for Illustration. In addition to his books for young people, Stephane Jorisch also illustrates for magazines and has created designs for the renowned Cirque de Soleil. Colour illustrations

Lucie Papineau

Already as a young girl in Quebec, Lucie was never seen without a book! From a keen reader to a passionate author and editor, the step was an easy one to take.

And, hundreds of books later, Lucie still loves making children laugh and dream. She loves to travel to meet her young readers here, there and everywhere.

Her peregrinations inspired the creation of Leon the Raccoon, a young explorer! And for the re-telling of the amazing story of Louis Cyr, her inspiration came from her beloved father, the kindest man in the world, who time and time again would tell her all about this living legend
