The book that was never going to be written is here!
Yvonne Nicolas has finally released her memoir. Two books that were never going be written and when they were written, they were never going to be published. Yet today more than a decade later they are published as one.
Life has been quite a ride for Yvonne, and this book deals with all aspects of that life… from growing up as a bullied Lebanese girl, teased for ethnicity and her naturally curly hair; to life as an international model, who went on to wow the business world in Adelaide... that led to her days as the boss of the Melbourne Major Events Corporation where she created the Melbourne Fashion Festival. She brushed shoulders with fame and pushed for a better world through her Opinion columns in major newspapers.
The book is run in two parts, the first – Those Were The Days – being her autobiography before she delves into her sense of spirituality and other life changing issues in Making Sense of Life Before We L’Eve. Her message to the World about 'who you really are' and 'The Light That Guides Us All'. Through it all is a push for changes in how we deal with mental health care, which is why the profits from this book will fund new initiatives in this critical neglected crisis we all face. With many politicians simply covering their backsides, she has enjoyed support from others and none more so than Federal Minister for Indigenous Health & Aged Care, the Hon Ken Wyatt, who joined Yvonne at the Adelaide launch in the Ayers House Ballroom in support of this Mission.
