Mario es el amigo imaginario que todos quisieramos tener: es ingenioso, amable y muy divertido. A Mario le gusta mucho tener amigos, pero se entristece cuando sus amigos dejan de necesitarlo... y esto siempre sucede cuando sus amigos encuentran amigos reales. Mario quiere encontrar un amigo que siempre desee su compania, y un dia conoce a Sam. Los dos se vuelven inseparables, leen y juegan todo el tiempo y tambien han comenzado a dibujar un comic.
