Michael Moorcock

Michael Moorcock is one of the most important figures in British SF and Fantasy literature. The author of many literary novels and stories in practically every genre, his novels have won and been shortlisted for numerous awards including the Hugo, Nebula, World Fantasy, Whitbread and Guardian Fiction Prize.

In 1999, he was given the World Fantasy Life Achievement Award; in 2001, he was inducted into the SF Hall of Fame; and in 2007, he was named a SFWA Grandmaster. Michael Moorcock is also a musician who has performed since the seventies with his own band, the Deep Fix; and, as a member of the prog rock band, Hawkwind, won a gold disc. His tenure as editor of New Worlds magazine in the sixties and seventies is seen as the high watermark of SF editorship in the UK, and was crucial in the development of the SF New Wave.

Michael Moorcock's literary creations include Hawkmoon, Corum, Von Bek, Jerry Cornelius and, of course, his most famous character, Elric. He has been compared to, among others, Balzac, Dumas, Dickens, James Joyce, Ian Fleming, J.R.R. Tolkien and Robert E. Howard. Although born in London, he now splits his time between homes in Texas and Paris.

Ozzy Osbourne

Born John Michael Osbourne in Birmingham, 1948, Ozzy Osbourne is one of rock music's most enduring figures who became one of television's best loved personalities via the wildly successful hit MTV show The Osbournes.

Slim Jim Phantom

As the legendary drummer for the Stray Cats, Slim Jim Phantom spearheaded the neo-rockabilly movement of the early '80s. The Stray Cats' classic album Built for Speed went double platinum, the band had numerous hit singles, and their song Rock This Town is on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's list of "The Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll." He lives in Los Angeles, California.

Dave Grohl

Dave Grohl is an award-winning musician and director. He has been one of the most beloved and respected figures on the international music since his recorded debut with Nirvana on 1991’s generation-defining Nevermind. Grohl took centre stage with Foo Fighters’ 1995 self-titled debut album, and the band have gone on to win twelve Grammys and five Brit Awards.

Their most recent album, Medicine at Midnight, went to No 1 on the UK charts. In 2013, Grohl made his debut as a feature director/producer with the acclaimed documentary Sound City. Grohl also directed the eight-part HBO docuseries Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways, which premiered in October 2014 and went on to win two Emmys.

Joe Simko is an artist known for his happy-horror style. He is one of the premiere Garbage Pail Kids illustrators for the Topps Company and lives in New York City with his wife, son, dog, and many, many boxes of cereal.
