One More River To Cross traces the history of military bridging covering the evolution and design criteria, and the role of the Corps of Royal Engineers. Details are given of the design and development of some 175 militarybridging equipment, together with 270 photographs and line drawings, and five maps. The use and significance of such equipment in major military operations from Edward's invasion of Wales in 1282 to the support of the United Nation forces in Bosnia in the 1990's is described.
