Chitra Soundar grew up in Chennai, India, in a joint family that was filled with small fights, big laughter and lots of stories. An award-winning author of more than 40 books for children, she loves writing picture books, fiction, non-fiction and verse. Chitra travels the world visiting schools and appearing at festivals to bring Indian stories to children everywhere. 

Juliana Oakley is an illustrator in love with colour. Ever since early childhood she was drawing and scribbling on everything she could get her hands on; albums, wallpaper and books to mention a few.

Now her art is contemporary in style but with a bit of nostalgia, often childlike with a touch of humor and mystery.She draws her inspiration from her family, from travels, from nature and childhood memories. Her illustrations often start from pencil sketches and are then finished digitally.
