Tony Bradman

Tony Bradman has worked in children's books for over 30 years as a writer, a reviewer, and an editor of anthologies.

His books include the Dilly the Dinosaur picture-book series, which sold 2 million copies worldwide.Tony is lead author for Project X, OUP's reading scheme for boys up to Year 6.

He has been a judge for the Smarties Book Prize, Booktrust Teen Awards and is chair of the Siobhan Dowd Trust. Anglo-Saxon Boy is his second novel for Walker. He lives in Beckenham, Kent.

Trish Cooke

Trish Cooke has worked as a TV presenter, written stage plays and had numerous acting roles in the theatre and on screen.

She is also the author of several picture books including Full, Full, Full of Love, The Grandad Tree, When I Grow Bigger and Look Back! Trish lives in Yorkshire.

John Dougherty

John Dougherty was born in Larne, Northern Ireland, and not many years later they made him go to school - an experience he didn't find entirely enjoyable. Fortunately, the joys of reading helped him through the difficult times. It's therefore not completely surprising that when he grew up he became first a teacher (the nice sort), and then a writer of stories and poetry for children. He also writes songs, some of which he performs with First Draft, a band made up of three children's authors and a bookseller.

He now lives in England with his two children.Thomas Docherty is an author and illustrator of childrens books based in Swansea. His first picture book, The Little Boat was shortlisted for the prestigious Kate Greenaway Medal, and he has also worked on several books with his wife Helen Docherty, including The Snatchabook, The Knight Who Wouldn't Fight and Pirate Nell's Tale To Tell. His books have been sold around the world and have eben translated into more than 25 languages.

Geraldine McCaughrean

Geraldine McCaughrean is a multi-award-winning author of picture books, fiction and retellings for children. She has won the Carnegie Medal, the Guardian Children's Fiction Prize, the Blue Peter Book of the Year Award and the Blue Peter Special Book to Keep Forever Award.

She is also a three-time winner of the Whitbread Children's Book Award and a four-time winner of the Smarties Bronze Award. Her titles include the bestselling The Orchard Book of Greek Myths and The Orchard Book of Roman Myths. She lives in Berkshire.

Bee Willey

Bee Wiley was born in London, spent her childhood in France and now lives in Ipswich, Suffolk. She has illustrated many fiction covers and picture books for children including the acclaimed Edward Lear's Nonsense Rhymes, The Wooden Dragon by Joan Aitken and How to be a Princess by Caitlin Matthews.

She was shortlisted for the prestigious Kate Greenaway Award for her stunning illustrations for Bob Robber and Dancing Jane by Andrew Matthews. Bee draws, paints, and uses mixed media and collage in her multi-layered paintings.

Lee Cosgrove

Lee Cosgrove is an illustrator working in children's fiction and educational publishing.

He also designs greetings cards, apps, novelty toys and bus stops. Lee lives with his wife, children and their rabbit in North West England.
