Debbie Singleton grew up in Middlesbrough. Graduating from Cambridge University, she has traveled extensively over the world and has lived in Texas, Alaska, Trinidad, Western Australia while also working on an oil rig in the North Sea. She was inspired to start writing by her two young daughters. She lives in Esher, England.

Holly Swain is a children's book illustrator who lives in Hove with her husband Matt. As a kid, she always loved to draw. Holly has illustrated a number of children's picture books for a variety of publishers.
