Tony Bradman has worked in children's books for over 30 years as a writer, a reviewer, and an editor of anthologies.

His books include the Dilly the Dinosaur picture-book series, which sold 2 million copies worldwide.Tony is lead author for Project X, OUP's reading scheme for boys up to Year 6.

He has been a judge for the Smarties Book Prize, Booktrust Teen Awards and is chair of the Siobhan Dowd Trust. Anglo-Saxon Boy is his second novel for Walker. He lives in Beckenham, Kent.

Andrea Smith was born in the rural town of Emerald in Queensland, while her mum was fossicking for sapphires in the Gemfields. Exploring England in a Kombi Van, venturing over hills in Hong Kong, and surviving a ‘David and Goliath’ battle with leukaemia are just a few of her more memorable moments.

Andrea became a bibliophile at a very young age. It was her passion for books that led her to teach primary school children for over 25 years. She believes that she is smart enough to never stop learning and recently achieved a Masters High Achievement Award in Inclusive Education. Living by the sea in Hervey Bay, she shares a home with her husband and two very creative miracle girls.

When she is not at her desk tapping on a keyboard or sketching out a new character, she can be found pulling a cake out of the oven, watering sunflowers in the garden, collecting eggs from the chook house or dusting off her ever-growing collection of picture books. The Big Blue Hullabaloo is her debut book.

Joanna Nadin is a winner of the Fantastic Book Award, the Surrey Book Award, Blue Peter 'Book of the Month' and Radio 4 Open Book 'Book of the Year'.

She has been shortlisted for the Booktrust Best Book Award and Queen of Teen, and Spies, Dad, Big Lauren and Me was selected for the Richard and Judy Book Club.

In 2011, Penny Dreadful is a Magnet for Disaster was shortlisted for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize. Joe All Alone was nominated for the 2016 CILIP Carnegie Medal.

She writes the Flying Fergus series with Sir Chris Hoy. Joanna previously worked as a policy writer for the Labour Party and a special adviser to the Prime Minister.

She continues to freelance as a speechwriter and editor, and lectures in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University.
