Kurt Busiek was born in Boston, MA. He began writing comics professionally in 1982, selling stories to both DC and Marvel Comics in the same month, both of which appeared the same day.

Since then, he's written series and characters ranging from Mickey Mouse to Vampirella, including Aquaman, Spider-Man, Conan, Iron Man, the Avengers and more.

He is best known for the Marvels series and for his co-creation ASTRO CITY, both of which have garnered numerous industry awards. He lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife, Ann, and his two daughters.

Mark Russell is an American author, best known for his satirical graphic novel God Is Disapointed in You, an irreverent retelling of the Bible.

He is also the writer of Prez and The Flintstones, as well as the acclaimed Exit Stage Left- The Snagglepuss Chronicles for DC Comics.

Amanda Deibert is an award-winning television and comic book writer. Her work includes DC Super Hero Girls, TeenTitans Go!, Wonder Woman '77, Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman, and a story in Love Is Love (a New York Times #1 bestseller) along with comics for IDW, Dark Horse, Bedside Press, and Storm King. She's written TV shows for CBS, Syfy, OWN, Hulu, and former vice president Al Gore's international climate broadcast, 24 Hours of Reality.

Jeff Parker is a Portland, Oregon based writer and comic book artist. He worked as a storyboard artist on the television cartoon "Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot," and has written a number of Marvel Comics titles including, X-Men- First Class, Agents of Atlas, and Thunderbolts.

He is a member of Periscope Studio, originally from Burlington, North Carolina, and the son of a grocery store owner. His first exposure to comics came from reading comics on the store's spinner racks.

David F. Walker is an award-winning comic book writer, author, filmmaker, journalist, and educator. His work in comic books includes Shaft, winner of the Glyph Award for Story of the Year, Power Man and Iron Fist, Nighthawk, Fury, Secret Wars- Battleworld, Cyborg, The Army of Dr. Moreau, and Number 13. He is also the creator of the critically-acclaimed YA series The Adventures of Darius Logan and the author of the graphic novel biography The Life of Frederick Douglass. Recognized as a leading scholar expert of African American cinema, Walker produced one of the definitive documentaries on the topic of Blaxploitation films, Macked, Hammered, Slaughtered, and Shafted.

Dearbhla Kelly is a Critical Care Medicine fellow at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and a postdoctoral Brain fellow at the Wolfson Centre for the Prevention of Stroke and Dementia, University of Oxford.

She has also completed training in Nephrology and Internal Medicine.
