I don't think it's possible for a better job to have been done on this volume. It's the perfect mix of research, narrative and graphics (storyboards, stills, design plans, between-takes photos). It would have been all to easy for this book to have been written by someone who sounds too gushy or fanboy for the text to be bearable over the 300+ pages - but Rinzler deserves full credit for keeping it both interesting and informative. He never overwhelms you with detail and has a good eye for the telling anecdote or factoid. Even the production of the book is good - a very solid hardback, beautifully bound. It's expensive, but you'll definitely get what you pay for. Go for it.
