It is the people of God who can truly shape a nation. Many look to political or economic leaders or cultural icons to solve a nation's problems. While leaders and governments can influence a nation, there is no group of people who can determine the future of a nation like God's people. As go the people of God, so goes the redemption of the world. God is therefore working mightily among His own. We are closer either to revival or judgment than we have ever been. There is no alternative between these two. Either God's people return to Him with all of their hearts, or God will judge our nation. We do not have to guess how that judgment will look or how thorough it will be. Any nation that turns away from God comes under His judgment. Society desperately needs timeless answers that work just as powerfully today as they have in every previous age. God is urgently calling His people to return to Him and be once again a highway of holiness over which He can come to a lost world.
