Caroline Young is a writer and author specialising in fashion and film history. She is the co-author of Tartan and Tweed, and the author of Classic Hollywood Style, Hitchcock's Heroines, Roman Holiday: The Secret Life of Hollywood in Rome, and Welbeck's The Colour of Fashion.

Originally from Edinburgh, where she still lives, she took a Masters in Journalism in Brisbane, Australia after studying English and film and TV studies at Glasgow University. She worked as a fashion writer and assistant digital editor at Herald Scotland. She also has a strong interest in the golden age of Hollywood, and has extensively researched at archives in Los Angeles for her books on film history and costume.

Magda was born in Wroclaw, Poland. After the birth of her two little girls, Magda dived into the magical world of picture books and turned her passion for drawing into a dream job.
