Roger Phillips

Roger Phillips is an award-winning photographer with a reputation spanning thirty years. He has consistently pioneered the use of colour photography for the reliable identification of natural history subjects, and has written more than twenty books dedicated to this purpose.

He has written and presented two major six-part TV series on gardening for the BBC and Channel 4. He received his MBE for his work on London Square Gardens.

Martyn Rix

Martyn Rix is a botanist and the Editor of Curtis's Botanical Magazine, and as such has an unrivalled knowledge of botanical art.

With a PhD in Botany from the University of Cambridge, he has worked at the University Botanic Garden in Zurich and at the RHS Garden, Wisley and has made many expeditions to different parts of the world, to collect new plants for gardens. He is the author or co-author of a number of books, including the highly acclaimed The Botanical Garden.
