Peter Sharp represents a man accused of murder by the planting of bombs in vehicles, and also suspected of being part of a conspiracy to assassinate the President of the United States in an upcoming Fourth of July parade.
With the assistance of his legal ward Suzi, Peter tries to identify the real murderer, and at the same time solve the mystery of a dead body found in his friend's car trunk.
