This is a collection of haiku written by Cameron Gordon in the classic English language form of 5-7-5 (three lines with 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively). These 48 haiku are organised under broad themes of: Seasons, Waiting Rooms, Sexuality and Relationships, the Workings of the Mind, Perceptions of Reality, Satisfaction, Difficult Feelings and Apropos of Nothing. This is prefaced by an introduction to the Art of Haiku and some background for the content of the haiku in the collection. These haiku capture some moments of life, like soap bubbles in the air that form quickly, float unpredictably, and sooner of later pop but leave a lasting impression.
