Coco Chanel - A Compact Biograhy - John Brown
In our time-stressed world we don't always have the time to wade through huge biographies.
That's not to say that we don't want concise, factual information and a good read.
A compact biography could be just the answer.
Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel was a French fashion designer and businesswoman. She was born on August 19, 1883, in Saumur, Loire Valley, France and died on January 10, 1971, in Paris, France. She is famous for revolutionizing women's fashion in the early 20th century by introducing relaxed, comfortable designs inspired by men's clothing. Some of her most iconic designs include the "little black dress," tweed suits, and the Chanel No. 5 perfume. She opened her first boutique in Paris in 1910, and the Chanel brand continues to be a major player in the fashion industry today.
