The compilation of prayers contained in this chapter is a selection of those that have

been dictated by the Spirits in different circumstances. They could have dictated others,

and in other words, appropriate to certain ideas or special cases, but the

form if the fundamental thought is the same. The purpose of prayer is to raise our

soul to God. The diversity of formulas should not make any difference between those who

believe in Him, and even less among the adepts of spiritism, because God accepts them all when

they are sincere
