In book two Joshua and his team continue to fight to stop human extinction from climate change. He converts a bomb shelter in a Hawaiian mountain to a research bunker and living quarters.

While fighting off attacks by Axiom, they travel the world demonstrating their new inventions, from a carbon capture system to algae that can eat plastic. Hiring a 16-year-old genius for his team, she brings exciting new inventions to help stop the approaching climate disaster.

At the same time, Joshua learns Logan had an affair and turns to his female assassin for comfort. She stops her contract killings and becomes his partner, trying to keep him alive.

From tackling plastic and ghost gear in the oceans, to forest fires deliberately set, the fight continues.
