A tale of a world invaded by the alien Charun who attack and destroy many of Earth’s greatest cities, and their citizens murdered and disappeared.

A global no-fly zone enforced without pity or warning is established while the Earth’s resources are plundered by the invaders.

Teenager Michael Adair finds himself in a place that is only passingly familiar to the world he had known. His family is gone, missing and dead, at the hand of the Charun. While defending his community, he finds has an aptitude for deterrence and decides to embark on a path that seeks to eliminate the Charun threat. As he journeys across America, at a time of distress and fragmentation, he discovers people at their best and worst.
