Not quite what the doctor ordered…

Hot and heartwarming. This sexy, sizzling romance from best-selling author, Phillipa Ashley, is the perfect pick-me-up.

Keira Grayson’s first encounter with the gorgeous best man at her friend’s wedding has to be the most embarrassing ever, involving the loss of a (spare) pair of sexy undies. What’s more, the ‘knicker incident’ sets the seal on a pretty awful year for Keira, a primary school teacher who’s had more than her fair share of unhappiness.

Even worse, the best man is Tom Carew, a smouldering doctor who also happens to be the younger son of an earl. Keira thinks Tom is just the kind of man to be avoided at all costs – for all kinds of reasons.

Despite the ‘awkward’ introduction, Tom makes it clear that he’d love to spend more time with Keira before he jets off to the other side of the world to work for a medical charity. Keira has to decide if a short and sizzling fling with the sexy medic is exactly the prescription she needs - just as long as she can avoid falling for Tom.

As for Tom, he’s got the battle of his life on his hands. Can he overcome his own dark demons and let himself be healed by love or will he end up shattering both their hearts?

Phillipa Ashley

Phillipa Ashley writes warm, funny romantic fiction for a variety of world-famous international publishers. After studying English at Oxford, she worked as a copywriter and journalist. Her first novel, Decent Exposure, won the RNA New Writers Award and was made into a TV movie called 12 Men of Christmas starring Kristin Chenoweth and Josh Hopkins. As Pippa Croft, she also wrote the Oxford Blue series - The First Time We Met, The Second Time I Saw You and Third Time Lucky.

Phillipa lives in a Staffordshire village and has an engineer husband and scientist daughter who indulge her arty whims. She runs a holiday-let business in the Lake District, but a big part of her heart belongs to Cornwall. She visits the county several times a year for 'research purposes', an arduous task that involves sampling cream teas, swimming in wild Cornish coves and following actors around film shoots in a camper van. Her hobbies include watching Poldark, Earl Grey tea, Prosecco-tasting and falling off surf boards in front of RNLI lifeguards.
