He appeareth like a Wolf with a Serpent’s tail, vomiting out of his mouth flames of fire; but at the command of the Magician he putteth on the shape of a Man with Dog’s teeth beset in a head like a Raven; or else like a Man with a Raven’s head.

The Goetia

The Goetia is a gift from a world of darkness and mystery. You must never forget that, or take it for granted. It draws its magical power from the 72 devils that King Solomon is said to have evoked and confined in a bronze vessel sealed with the Secret Seal of Solomon.

The Goetia assigns a rank and a title of nobility to each and gives detailed descriptions of the 72 devils, their offices, and the seals they must pay allegiance to.
