Dapo Adeola

Dapo Adeola is an illustrator, author and character designer who rocketed into the picture book world with his greatly acclaimed illustrator debut, Look Up!, written by Nathan Bryon, which won the Waterstones Children's Book Prize in 2020. Dapo lives in London and in 2022 he was named Illustrator of the Year at the British Book Awards.

Dapo Adeola

Dapo Adeola is a young illustrator and character designer who is new to the picture book world. His first book, Look Up was written by Nathan Bryon and published by Puffin in June 2019 to great acclaim.

Born in Britain and of Nigerian heritage, Dapo's work tends to revolve around creating characters and imagery that challenge gender norms and equality politics in a fun and upbeat manner.

Jade Orlando

Jade Orlando has loved art for as long as she can remember. After an impassioned childhood spent drawing cats and mythical creatures, she studied Illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Jade's work is colourful with a hint of weird, and has been featured in books, apparel, advertising and children's products.

Diane Ewen

Diane Ewen is British illustrator, born in Walsall, in the West Midlands. She has always been in love with art and graduated from the University of Wolverhampton with a B.A. Honours Degree in illustration. Diane likes to create illustrations that are hand-drawn in pencil before painting in watercolour and acrylics prior to embellishing them using Photoshop, but she also enjoys working directly on the computer screen creating her designs. She likes the fact that illustrations are the first things that entice the reader to engage with a book and is inspired by the use of vibrant colour.

Reggie Brown

Reggie Brown is a children's book illustrator with a passion for bringing stories with diverse characters to life.

When he is not drawing, he is either diving into the latest science fiction, watching Star Wars, or reading a comic book. Reggie was born in the Philippines and lives in sunny San Diego with his wife and dog.

Onyinye Iwu

Onyinye Iwu is a secondary school teacher and freelance illustrator. She was Born in Italy to Nigerian parents and moved to Britain as a teenager.

She has a degree in Architecture and a Masters in Cultural Diaspora Ethnicity. Her work as an illustrator is inspired by Africa and especially her Igbo heritage. She is the illustrator of the Too Small Tola books by Atinuke. Onyinye lives in London..

Gladys Jose

Gladys Jose is a freelance illustrator and designer, living in Orlando, Florida. She studied art at the University of Central Florida and graduated with a BFA specializing in graphic design. She works from her studio at home for numerous clients.

Joelle Avelino

Joelle Avelino is London-based illustrator. She works with both traditional and digital methods of drawing and painting.

She is greatly inspired by phenomenal women and her African heritage, particularly the bold, empowering history her motherlands hold. Having grown up in the UK she aims to bring these two worlds together through her work.

Camilla Sucre

Camilla Sucre, a Trinidadian American artist who resides in Baltimore, has found a different kind of home in narrative illustration. Interested in illustration since she was a child, her dreams are finally coming true as she loves to explore new avenues of artmaking and illustration and new stories to tell.

Camilla also has a passion for film and a natural love of movies and hopes she can one day express that in her work. Her favourite film is currently 'The Red Shoes', an old movie - which is very fitting because she loves old things!
