Hurricane Ian landed in South Carolina today, and unleashed strong winds and rain along the coast. Authorities urged people to stay off the roads because of heavy flooding.
The number of people known to have died in Hurricane Ian which tore through Florida has risen to 12. President Joe Biden has warned that the hurricane could be the "deadliest in Florida's history".
The death toll is still rising in Florida in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. Some of the worst damage is in Fort Myers, where rescue teams are uncovering scenes of enormous loss.
