1930s Britain was a hotbed of utopian ideals in which William Welby, an advertising manager, was drawn to the burgeoning nudist movement.
Welby's quest for understanding culminated in the landmark publication Naked and Unashamed, a groundbreaking exploration of nudism by a British author, the success of which encouraged him to write two more seminal books on the subject: The Naked Truth about Nudism and It's Only Natural.
All three books offer a fascinating insight into aspects of British society and culture before the upheavals of World War II and the dramatic changes that followed.
This volume has a foreword by Mark Storey, author of Cinema au Naturel: A History of Nudist Film.
