This book is read-along version.
KEY VERBS with ROBIN is a series of 15 readers designed to help young children learn about verbs through delightful, age-appropriate stories. It is divided into three levels—Easy Start, Beginner and Elementary. Each level focuses on a range of verb tenses or forms, which increase in difficulty as the series progresses.
Most of the key verbs selected are featured more than once, reinforcing learning, and verb reference tables give an overview of the tenses or forms in question.
A ‘More to the point’ section at the end of each book gives grammar tips and insights for parents as they read with their children.
The stories feature a young girl called Tilly, and her family and friends. As they enjoy the amusing tales, children will familiarise themselves with a variety of useful verbs in various tenses and forms.
Tilly and her friend Billy are playing in the park. They are dressed as monkeys, and they are behaving like monkeys too! They climb right to the top of the climbing frame, and then they dangle from the monkey bars. Tilly's mum tries to get them down, but she is unsuccessful. Then she has a brilliant idea. What is it? Read and find out.
