This will be the first Latin American and Caribbean anthology about baseball in English. Translates from the Spanish, the volume includes the best short stories written about baseball and its important to the popular cultures of the Caribbean and Central and South America.

The editor/translator, Dick Cluster, located 63 stories written about baseball in these countries written and published over the past 30 years, and selected the top 19 stories for the current anthology.

Every writer in the volume is a well known writer in his or her own country with numerous novels, short stories, plays, and essays to their credit. Several of the writers have published other novels and works of nonfiction in North America.
