Soohee Kim received her Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Washington, where she taught Korean language, culture and linguistics for 17 years. She enjoys learning new languages, some of which include Lushootseed and Italian. She is the author of Korean Flash Cards and the lead author of the Korean textbooks You Speak Korean! and Easy Korean.

Woojoo Kim

Woojoo Kim received a MA from the University of Washington in 2012 specializing in political science and international relations. She is currently teaching as a Lecturer in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures, the University of Southern California. Before joining the USC in 2020, she was a lecturer at the University of Oregon, University of Washington, and University of Michigan where she taught all levels of Korean. Her research interests are focuses on three broad areas: language pedagogy, second language acquisition, and language culture. Her personal interests include Korean pop music, variety shows and drama.
