The book series “Letters from Ghana” is a moral and intellectual guide to public discourse. This book - Issue No. 3 - comprises 54 peer-reviewed papers. These papers were first published on the blog www.writersghana.com from July to December 2019. The blog, owned by Writers & Shakespeares Ghana Limited, is dedicated to independent scholarship and publication of peer reviewed papers only. The contents, just like the previous two issues, are an existential response to public discourse, beginning from Ghana and happening around the world. Some academic content is evident on account of my tenure as a university lecturer. You will also find content about President Donald Trump, Yitzhak Rabin, Jon Benjamin, Boris Johnson, Jacqueline Woodson, Elizabeth Ohene, Prof. Ransford Gyampo, Prof Peter Quartey, Rev. Fr. Prof Anthony Afful-Broni and many more, thereby underscoring the fact that we keep an eagle eye on the global public space. Clearly, this third issue has a significant focus on higher education in Ghana which was trending at the time. Since “the theory and practice cannot be divorced from each other” as my mentor has always insisted, I always wish to emphasise scholarship rather than academia. This book is, therefore, for everyone, no matter their station in life. Many Public Relations and management practitioners will find the content existentially relevant to their professional practice, and thus cite this book as their reference point. We receive such comments from happy readers all the time. We hope to hear from you too. At the end of each article, our social media contacts are provided in case you wish to give us feedback. Sceptics who cannot accept that all scholarly writing is academic can take these peer reviewed papers within the context of blogging your way to the PhD. Afterall, “scepticism is the quickest way to science” as my mentor once observed.
