In the early days of the Theosophical Movement in the United States, William Quan Judge was in intimate contact with American students, with whom he maintained a large correspondence. "Letters That Have Helped Me" is a compilation of his counsels. Judge’s wise and gentle words are a revelation of his understanding of the subtleties of human nature, and of the great depth and strength of heart he possessed as a teacher and a friend to those who studied and worked with him.
This edition includes Volume I and II. The Letters in Volume 1 originally appeared in The Path, December 1888 to March 1890. Judge first published them in book form in 1891. Volume 2 is reprinted from the original edition published in England in 1905.
